japanese love letters

this was waiting for me on my desk after my first day of teaching at shirokawa middle school.

"kyou wa, hajimete no Kimu sensei no jyugyou deshita.
Kimu sensei wa totemo kirei de, hana ga takai na
te omoitmashita. Saishyo datta kedo, totemo
wakariyasukatta desu!"

"today, it was Kim sensei's first class. Kim sensei is really pretty, she has a high nose, i think. even though it was the first class, it was very easy to understand!"

apparently, if you have a "big" nose, like you have your nose stand out on your profile view, it's hot in japan. i have no idea.

i didn't get to sample the whale, but my friends ended up thinking it tasted whack. chewy and like very meaty and fishy at the same time.
